Well done to everyone for the record turnout of 209 runners on a clear sunny evening.
Chris Arthur of Bowland Fell Runners a first time winner of the men's race in 31.08 which is just outside Eddie Simpson's 2008 record. Joanna Goorney of Lytham St Annes repeated her 2015 win in the women's race.

Next year's race will be on Tuesday 4th July 2017 ,subject to the usual permissions.
